58 yrs of friendship and treasured memories starting with our double dates in high school. A few yrs later we reconnected and started our morning coffees with our little ones. Travel together included a trip to Door County and Kay joined me for a long weekend out on the Coast of CA when I had a work assignment there. Our birthday luncheons always included a special place to dine, shopping and keepsake gift exchanges. The annual elegant Holiday Dinner party Kay and Skip hosted three of us couples was an event to look forward to. I always referred to Kay as my “Martha Steward friend”. I have many of her fabulous recipes and have copied many of her hostess ideas! I could always count on her for great advice and an honest opinion! Kay gave so much to remember! A dear friend lost way too soon. 💗

Kay

I'm learning how to live without you. It's not easy after 55 years of friendship.
You were my rock.. My Person. We were put together by chance in a dorm room in Nurses training and never left each other. We were so young and naive but we got through it and so did our patients some how,

My phone doesn't ring as much anymore. You called and always said "What are you doing?" Usually I said "nothing" and ended every call with" Say Hi to Randy" Always thinking of others.
You knew more about me and I knew more about you than anyone. I could tell you my Secrets and you told me yours.

I always knew our lives here on earth would not last forever, but never planned on you to leave me so soon, as you probably never made plans for me to leave you.

I'm so sorry you had to have such a trying last 2-3 years. But you were so Brave and Strong to the end. On one of our last phone calls you said to me as I started to cry "Don't be sad I'm not scared to Die.

I was so Honored when Kim called me and asked if I would come and help Care for you at the end of your life here on Earth.
You have Wonderful children, their spouses, grandchildren, and a Husband who cared for you more than you knew.
We did the best we could to help you and keep you comfortable.
Hope it was up to your standards.

You made a huge impression on so many people and had more friends than anyone I knew. As testified as to how often you went out to lunch. That says a lot about you.

Thanks for wanting a dance party and not a funeral.
It's time for the tears and crying to be over and Time for the Party you wanted to start.

You will never be forgotten. Our lives will always be changed because of your Love for all of us.

BFF Love Barb

Kay was a GREAT wife, mother, and woman. Her smile was the brightest and largest in the world. And the world will not shine as much without her. She brought joy to everyone and everyone brought joy to her. She will live on in everyone's life. Rightly so.

I remember so many pictures of her laughing. There are no pictures of her when she was not smiling. And she made everyone else smile because of who she was and what she meant to them.

I still miss you every day. This Christmas will be so hard, but I will do my best to make it as special as you always did. I got myself a ticket to see Lorie Line. I hope you’ll be there with me in spirit.
